- 'The Cribs' Behind Performing Earth

Performing Earth was at the Grand Mint Festival 2009 with top UK-indie rock band 'The Cribs' at Olympic Park in Seoul, South Korea. The band, Gary, Ryan and Ross Jarman, along with Johnny Marr formerly with 'The Smiths' of the 1980's, excited the Korean crowd with a set made up of songs from their new album 'Ignore the Ignorant', among a range of others from their previous albums. It was great to bring Wakefield based artists together over the other side of the globe, and the group expressed their support for the Performing Earth project.

"It's great to be with a friendly face over here" explained Cribs' drummer Ross Jarman. "It's a really good idea taking performance across the world for both the students and the professionals."
